"I've been a therapist for over twenty years.  My clients tell me that I make them feel very comfortable and safe talking about things they never would have imagined discussing with a complete stranger.  I believe that individuals, couples, and families have within them the potential and resources to cope with life's problems.  I also operate from the assumption that how we think, feel, and behave is usually rooted in our role in our family of origin and is brought into play in our current lives.

Using a cognitive-behavioral model, I will help you discover and explore alternative, more self-affirming ways of thinking.  We'll also identify those habitual patterns of interaction which are problematic for you and learn to behave in ways which are more healthy and productive.

I have also been trained to do EMDR for resolution of past trauma and to use art therapy as a form of self expression.  We'll work hard together, but we'll also have fun discovering your more confident, vital self."
