Heather Gibb, Psy.D.

Dr. Gibb is a licensed clinical psychologist in Washington State (PY60143835).  Her practice focuses primarily on providing child, adolescent, and family psychotherapy and psychological testing on a limited basis. Dr. Gibb provides the following psychological services with a common supportive framework: facilitating growth towards one’s capacity to thrive in relationships:

·        Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy

·        Relationship-based Psychotherapy (Infant-parent psychotherapy; child-parent psychotherapy)

·        Family Therapy

·        Parent Consultation/Parent Training

·        Psychological Testing

·        Consultation to School and Child Welfare Systems

In 2008, Dr. Gibb earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) in San Francisco, with a child and family specialization.   Throughout her clinical training, she provided psychological services founded on the concept that early relationships are formative for social, emotional, and psychological health.

Dr. Gibb completed a pre-doctoral internship approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) at The Guidance Center, an outpatient clinic of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. Following this specialized training in psychotherapy and psychological testing, Dr. Gibb completed a pediatric psychology postdoctoral fellowship at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), T.I.E.S. for Families (formerly T.I.E.S. for Adoption). At UCLA, Dr. Gibb developed expertise in child, adolescent, and family psychotherapy, psychological testing, infant developmental assessment, and adoption-specific mental health services.  Most recently, Dr. Gibb provided infant-parent psychotherapy in an innovative community-based intervention program aimed at promoting healthy attachment relationships between infants/toddlers and their caregivers. 

Dr. Gibb is involved in professional associations including the American Psychological Association (APA) and APA divisions: Division 53, Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology; Division 42, Psychologists in Independent Practice.
